Punnamada Boat race

 Punnamada Revolution


The boat race season has started in the backwaters of Kerala. On March 11, a big boat race was held at Punnamada in Alappuzha. Many teams took part in this exciting event.


The "Nehru Trophy Boat Race" is held every year, and this year many boat teams joined the race. About 21 boats participated, each with 75 rowers rowing together. The race was full of energy and competition.


This traditional boat race is very famous in Kerala, and it happens on Punnamada Lake. Many tourists and local people come to watch the boats race in the beautiful backwaters.


The boats are long and thin, and the rowers move their oars together in perfect timing. It shows great teamwork and skill. These boat races have been part of Kerala's culture for many years  


"The boat race going on in the Punnamada Lake is very exciting. The boat with 75 rowers in 21 boats is moving quickly. Peoples gathered on both sides of the lake are cheering loudly. The boatmen are showing great enthusiasm."
